Application
Solar PV utilization, peak-valley arbitrage and electricity trading
Introduction
In Bulgaria’s Pazardzhik Province, KP Solar and Dyness are working across three grid-connected solar-plus-storage projects. Located in Pazardzhik, Aleko and Septemvri, the projects bring together 36 Dyness DH200Y units with a combined storage capacity of 8.2 MWh.
By pairing solar PV with energy storage, the projects are designed to support more flexible use of solar energy and explore applications such as peak-valley arbitrage and electricity trading.
Across Pazardzhik Province, the three projects bring energy storage into grid-connected solar installations at different scales. Together, they represent a combined capacity of 8.2 MWh and show how storage can be incorporated into multiple PV sites within the same regional project portfolio.

More Flexibility for Solar Energy
Solar generation and energy storage can work together to give project operators more options for managing when generated energy is used or traded. Across these three projects, the planned applications include improving solar PV utilization, supporting peak-valley arbitrage and exploring electricity trading.
The actual value of each application depends on the operating strategy and project conditions. No operating or financial results have been provided for publication at this stage.

System Design
The three installations use a total of 36 Dyness DH200Y units:
Pazardzhik: 7 units, 1.6 MWh
Aleko: 8 units, 1.8 MWh
Septemvri: 21 units, 4.8 MWh
Together, the systems provide 8.2 MWh of total energy storage capacity. Their configurations vary by site, matching the different scales of the three solar-plus-storage projects.

Customer Value
By integrating storage across three PV sites, KP Solar and Dyness are exploring how battery systems can support a broader range of energy applications. The projects create a foundation for managing solar energy more flexibly and evaluating opportunities such as peak-valley arbitrage and electricity trading.
The three-site portfolio also provides a practical example of applying Dyness DH200Y systems across projects with different storage requirements.
